mini-buses in NJ...

I'm realizing that community can come from something as simple as riding in a mini bus. At the Chapel, we recently got a new van that everyone calls a mini bus. It's like one of those shorter versions of a big bus, with a high ceiling and big windows. It's nothing like mini-buses in Guyana, except for it's ability to hold lots of people. Today it held 18 of us on our way to Jose Tejahs, a Mexican-Creole restaurant. We went there as a staff to celebrate the first Saturday night service at the Chapel and we had such fun! The ride there and back was great. Such a fun, interesting group of people of all ages with many things in common. After a great meal, we went to Rita's, where they were giving out free water ice because it is the first Day of Spring (yea!). It was a cold day for water ice but a great way to make a memory. That bus is already building memories for us and we've only had it for a week and a half.
